Rusty Thruster – Apex

Rusty Preisendorfer has decades of experience with fin design. NVS worked with him to refine some of his existing templates to be more performance-oriented. The new Rusty fins are made with G10 and feature a slight concave to flat foil on the front fins and an 80/20 foil on the trailers for easier rail-to-rail transitions. The neutral template works well on most boards in most conditions and will have a balanced and responsive feel.

All Rusty fins come in NVS Apex Series construction; made with a solid piece of precision foiled G10 fiberglass for the ultimate in performance and durability. The combination of highly durable material and precision foiling yields a fin that is stronger and has a more ideal flex pattern than your traditional honeycomb or composite fins.

G10 is made by compressing layers of fiberglass and epoxy resin and baking it in an autoclave to have the maximum strength of any fiberglass available.
